GDPR Information

This page explains how SpanishProperties.net processes personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and how you can exercise your rights as a data subject.

Last updated: June 2026

01.Data controller

The controller of personal data collected through this website is Michal Kalášek, an independent business established in the Czech Republic, Czech business identification number IČO 88767621, operator of SpanishProperties.net.

Once an enquiry is forwarded for a professional real estate response, G-Estates (Agent Registration Number RAICV 3996) acts as an independent controller in respect of the regulated services it provides.

02.What personal data we collect

  • Identification and contact data — name, email, telephone, country of residence.
  • Enquiry content — the message and search criteria you submit (e.g. property type, location, budget).
  • Technical data — IP address, browser, device type and pages visited, gathered via server logs and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

03.Why we process your data

  • To answer your enquiry and arrange a follow-up by a licensed agent at G-Estates.
  • To present suitable properties matching your stated criteria.
  • To improve the website's content, performance and security.
  • To comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations.

04.Legal basis for processing

We process personal data on the following legal grounds under Article 6 GDPR:

  • Steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — when you submit an enquiry about a property.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for non-essential cookies and optional marketing communications.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to operate, secure and improve the website and to keep reasonable records of communications.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — where retention or disclosure is required by law.

05.Recipients of your data

Personal data may be shared with G-Estates as the licensed local real estate agency handling your enquiry, and with our technical processors (hosting, email and analytics providers) under appropriate data processing agreements. Data is not sold and is not transferred to recipients outside the EU/EEA unless adequate safeguards under GDPR are in place.

06.Retention period

Enquiry data is retained for the time needed to handle your request and to follow up on your property search, typically up to 24 months from your last interaction. Data needed for accounting or legal reasons is kept for the period required by applicable law.

07.Your rights as a data subject

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data and obtain a copy;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure ("right to be forgotten") where applicable;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, ÚOOÚ).

08.How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of the rights above, please contact us through the contact page. We will respond without undue delay and, in any event, within one month of receiving your request, in line with GDPR.

09.Cookies and tracking

The website uses essential cookies required for it to function and analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate visitor behaviour. You can manage cookies through your browser settings at any time.
